a form of scuba diving where qualified and trained divers work for hire to perform
underwater inspections, salvage operations, search and recovery, 35 mm photography, and videography for individuals
and businesses requiring those services.
Our team of commercial divers is lead by a,
Director of Operations.
We have over 20 years of underwater inspection experience on all types of power plants and dams below the waterline. We
have conducted internal pipe and tunnel inspections under conditions of zero visibility, cold water, and under ice.
Previous experience consists of using commercial diving equipment, principles, and techniques for inspecting major
federal government water facilities in several western and mid western states.
We have inspected dams and water conveyance facilities in the following states: California, Washington, Oregon,
Montana, Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, Nebraska, Kansas, North Dakota, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Virginia, Utah,
and Idaho.
Video and still underwater photography are used to document the inspections. Typical limited visibility is less
than one foot. Other conditions are strong river currents and deep dives. The work in cold water (33 degrees plus)
is done with the use of dry suits and diving through the ice to conduct inspections. Search patterns are implemented to
locate objects and recovery techniques are used to lift objects to the surface. Venturi suction dredge/tools used to move
material from stilling basins and to collect research samples. Research has been conducted on aquatic vegetation and
sediment sampled from the bottom of reservoirs for toxic chemical content. Aquatic weeds identified and recommendations as
to solutions are proposed. Endangered snails and other biological samples collected underwater and provided to researchers
to identify exact species. Several research studies are monitored and data and specimens are collected. A majority of the
inspection work is done at high altitudes and from metal and rubber hulled boats.
