Klamath County Sheriff's Dive Rescue Team
Team History
The team started about 40 plus years ago.
Team Structure
The team consists of three squads and a total of 20 - 25 volunteers. We have a coordinator between us and the Sheriff.
Team Meetings/Activities/Training
The first Wednesday of the month we have a general meeting with food provided by one of the squads (on a rotating schedule).
The last Wednesday of the month we have work detail night where specific items are repaired, etc.
Team Facilities
We occupy an old Fire Station where we house all the equipment that has an office, classroom, kitchen, bathroom and an
upstairs equipment/repair facility room.
Team Equipment
We have surface supplied equipment consisting of two umbilical (300 feet each) with an older DCS-2A, two Superlite 27's,
with attached video camera, two boats, zodiac, ice boat, on large van (laundry style) and one ambulance type.
Team Capabilities
We are capable of diving to 200 feet for recoveries on trimix using the SSA equipment.
