Additional Specialties and Continuing Education

PSDA & Water Rescue, Inc. Public Safety Divers are encouraged to continue training in other specialty areas to broaden their diving experiences. Only divers trained in particular types of public safety diving should conduct those dive operations. It is hazardous to attempt dives that you have no experience or formal training in.

Dive Safety depends on many different factors. It is important that all divers, both recreational and public safety, have the proper training for the dive thay plan to conduct. It is also important that divers continue to train and broaden their skills and knowledge by taking advantage of continuing education programs and training. By choosing to continually train and make the right decisions both recreational and public safety diving can be done with safety.
