Underwater video inspection is quite popular as the customer can observe a topside monitor and talk to the diver who guides the video camera around the object being inspected. This course will teach the CDS divers and supervisors about the equipment and techniques used for underwater videography inspection in the class room and in the open water. NACDS Surface Supplied Contaminated Water Diving (NACDS-CDS V) 20 hours The CDS V course is devoted to the development of contaminated water diving techniques (Surface Supplied Diving in Hazardous Environments, Equipment and Techniques). Divers are being used more and more in nuclear power plants, chemical tanks, and waste treatment plants. Keeping dry and cool is essential for safe diving procedures. These techniques have been developed and perfected to insure the maximum safety for the divers. This course will teach the CDS divers and supervisors about the equipment and techniques used for contaminated water diving techniques in the class room and in water. NACDS Surface Supplied Underwater Investigation (NACDS-CDS VI) 30 hours The CDS VI course is devoted to the development of surface supplied underwater investigation techniques (Surface Supplied, Tethered, and Scuba Diving, Law Enforcement and Insurance Investigation, Evidence Recovery and Presentation). Divers are being used more and more in law enforcement and insurance investigations. Evidency recovery and presenation of evidence is critical in these years of more and more legal claims. This course will teach the CDS divers and supervisors about surface supplied underwater investigation techniques in the class room and in water. NACDS Surface Supplied Marine Security Specialist (NACDS-CDS VII) 40 hours The CDS VII course is devoted to the development of surface supplied marine security specialist(Surface Supplied, Tethered, and Scuba Diving, Loss Prevention-Theft and Employee Safety, Personal and Company Protection). Divers are being used more and more in marine secuity. This course will teach the CDS divers and supervisors about surface supplied marine security techniques in the class room and in water. NACDS Surface Supplied Tethered Public Safety Diver I (NACDS-CDS X) 40 hours The CDS X course is devoted to the development of public safety divers (Tethered, Scuba Diving, Rapid Response Diving, Life Saving, Accident Management). More and more divers are used in local rescue and recovery. This course will teach the CDS divers and supervisors about tethered, scuba diving, rapid response diving, life saving and accident management techniques in the class room and in water. NACDS Surface Supplied Surface Supplied Dive Tender (NACDS-CDS XI) 16 hours The CDS XI course is devoted to the development of surface supplied dive tender (Surface Supplied and Tethered Diving, Tending Techniques). All surface supplied divers require a tender and these tenders need to be trained. This course will teach the CDS non-divers and divers about surface supplied dive tender techniques in the class room and in water. NACDS ITC Specialty Instructor Training (NACDS-CDS ITC) 48 hours The CDS ITC course is devoted to the development of specialty instructors (Qualification for Teaching NACDS- CDS I and II, Surface Supplied and Tethered Diving, Practice teaching in classroom, pool and open water). Other courses available! CDS-30 hours Underwater Oxy-Arc Cutting-Introduction to Underwater Welding The CDS course is devoted to the development of an underwater cutter and an introduction to underwater welding. Underwater cutting is used more frequently than welding and requires no previous experience. Divers can cut steel, concrete, coral, rock or anything else quite safely underwater when using the proper equipment and procedures. The CDS III course covers the safety aspects of cutting and welding, the equipment, and the proper techniques and procedures. Most of the course will be spent in the water practicing these techniques and procedures. CDS-30 hours Decompression Chamber Tender The CDS course is devoted to the development of a decompression chamber tender. This course will teach the CDS divers and supervisors how to prepare a team member for treatment in a chamber and how to tend a person inside the chamber during non-critical decompression operations. Each student will complete a Navy “PO2 Tolerance” test to determine their ability to equalize pressure and tolerate Oxygen under pressure. CDS-30 hours Underwater Salvage Operations The CDS course is devoted to the development underwater salvage operations. Included in this course is a study of the salvage laws, including the legal aspects of salvage diving. Procedures for light and heavy objects will be discussed. This course will teach the CDS divers and supervisors about the equipment and techniques used for underwater salvage in the class room and in the open water. CDS-30 hours Boat Hull Cleaning and Inspection Techniques The CDS course is devoted to the development underwater boat hull cleaning and inspection techniques. Marinas and harbors are full of boats and ships that need to be cleaned and inspected. Most of this work can be done underwater more economically that in dry dock. Hydraulic tools and scrubbers will be used and demonstrated throughout this course. This course will teach the CDS divers and supervisors about the equipment and techniques used for boat hull cleaning and inspection techniques in the class room and in the open water. CDS-30 hours Underwater Exploration and Wreck Diving The CDS course is devoted to the development underwater exploration and wreck diving techniques. Exploring a shipwreck will be a whole new experience for you when you are able to communicate while exploring. The procedures for penetration diving require a larger team with both underwater and topside tenders. Several unique aspects of wreck diving using surface supplied air diving equipment are covered. This course will teach the CDS divers and supervisors about the equipment and techniques used for underwater exploration and wreck diving techniques in the class room and in water. CDS I/II-40 hours Diver/Tender/Supervisor-Dive Teams The CDS I/II unique course is devoted to the specialized dive teams who need to use surface supplied air diving techniques to complete the jobs they are already doing on scuba. During the class each student will rotate duty stations and learn to fulfill the responsibilities of a diver, tender, and supervisor. The CDS I/II class will meet the needs of the police/sheriff/fire/law enforcement dive teams and scientific research diving teams.
